Power Schemes - Current User or All UsersPower Schemes This tweak sets the power scheme that will be used for either individual users or system wide for all users. | Individual User Settings [Start] [Run] [Regedit] Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg Modify/Create the Value Data Type(s) and Value Name(s) as detailed below. Data Type: REG_SZ [String Value] // Value Name: CurrentPowerPolicy Value Data: [Select from the following choices] 0 = Home/Office Desk 1 = Portable/Laptop 2 = Presentation 3 = Always On 4 = Minimal Power Management 5 = Max Battery For a description of each scheme, look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\PowerCfg\PowerPolicies in folders 0-5 Exit Registry and Reboot System Settings The .default hive is the one used for guest or anonymous connections to the PC. If you load the hive in the user.dat file from the default user profile in docs and settings & change that then all new profiles created from then on will get a copy of that current_user hive. I hope this helps... To set the Power Schemes for the entire system use HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\PowerCfg |
